Bring Back Burnt Orange!

Auburn's orange is supposed to be "Burnt" orange. I think it was Tommy Tuberville who took us to this ghastly bright orange, but it may have started even before then. If we go back to burnt orange, we will look more like Auburn, and less like Illinois, Syracuse or Florida. Guess I'm just a traditionalist. All us old codgers are like that.

I would have to agree, I have thought this for some time now. Seem to have gotten brighter, I would like to move back Burnt orange , not like tex. burnt but the way it was in the 60's & 70's.

I agree 100%. But I'm for making the scene look navy blue again. It's 'Go Big Blue'............not go big orange shade.

Agree with both points. Our orange is 'auburn' not orange, but I miss the days of a sea of dark navy blue.

Still have my '72 jersey even though it shrunk or I growded out of it (OK I filled out). But it was burnt orange and have always loved that color versus today's orange.

The true, original colors of the Auburn Tigers are still being used by the University of Virginia. I'd love to see us go back to our traditional colors as well with the burnt orange being more of an accent to the navy blue. What should we do to make our desires known?

Yep....Everyone ware the navy again and JHS will once again look like a dark cave...all orange in the stands is the best thing Tubs did..

Auburn changed the tint of its burnt orange some years ago because it looked too 'red' on tv.

The 'scene' didn't look navy. Just as many were wearing white in the stands - there was no single distinct color in JHS until we started the All-Auburn, All-Orange. Been going to games since I was a kid in 1974 and our crowd has never looked more intimidating than it has since the predominant orange era. I would hate to see it end - the only concession I would like to see is a true ALL BLUE (TRUE BLUE) game once a year where every single AU fan actually wore navy.
