Plays with a chip on his shoulder and has a bit of a mean streak. Came really close on several occasions to getting some 15 yarders called against us. The refs stepped in but were kind enough to keep the yellow flags stuffed in their pockets. I like Melvin, he's a great kid. I really like his attitude on the football field but he's going to have to learn to bottle up those emotions just a little more after the whistle has blown. I think he could be a real leader for this team if he would just step up and take on that responsibility. He's worked hard to get eligible and worked even harder to the respect of the coaching staff last year. Hopefully that hard work will carry over with the new staff and he'll get an opportunity to prove his worth. Really pulling for Melvin.
