Unfortunately, burglaries are a big problem in Auburn, like a lot of college towns. Apartments are easy to break into, and the students have lots of expensive stuff that thieves want - computers, flat screen TVs, cell phones, video games, etc. My daughter's apartment was burglarized last year. This is why it's important to have renter's insurance. And if you have items that valuable and irreplaceable, definitely give them to parents or keep them in a safe deposit box somewhere.
