Just curious, do you think the QB's are listed in order of our wants, or is Coach Loeffler keeping that list to himself at this point?

I'd like to have Bateman as much as anyone would, but I think Buchanan and Staver will continue to get much better and will ultimately be studs in college. Just my thoughts, but I know very-little compared to our staff, so whoever they settle on will be great. The future is bright indeed! WAR EAGLE!!

Recruiting issues:
There will be an order or preference list in any position coaches head, but I seriously doubt that we'll ever know how it reads. Sooner or later does it become not the best of the group, but the best we think would come to Auburn? But, do our coaches ever stop recruiting until they are convinced that recruiting Mr. Five Star is a waste of time? Not knowing beans about it, I'd guess recruiting is not a chess game, it's pure poker driven by chess deep thinking and what coach strategy might be is rarely disclosed outside of coach meetings.
Fans wonder why Mr. X was offered when Mr. Y is so much better? Could it be because Mr. Y was committed to Podunk U since he was a gleam in Pappy's eye? Might be. Also might be that coaches have looked at both players in person on their campus and seriously believe X offers more at his position than any other candidate and is more likely to come to Auburn since his girl is already enrolled and his Uncle was an Auburn Athlete.
Coaching a football team is not easy. Football in some places is a fifty million dollar business, or more, and making decisions on how it should be run is not something just any of us is prepared to do. Playing at that is a fun game, but, let's remember that we're playing for the fun of it, and coaches are playing for a lot more serious reasons. OK, let's have fun, but keep fun in perspective.
I really think Bryan and PM give us the very best information they have, but I seriously doubt that their best is what is going around in Chiziks. brain. An opinion and worth what it costs. If you have better ideas, my opinion may change tomorrow. Committed to it today.

What about Shelton Gibson, the WR from Ohio? Weren't we high on him early and in his top 2 with Ohio St? Thanks.

Auburn likes Gibson but he's not a guy they were prepared to accept a commit from, at least going into the evaluation period. I doubt that has changed. I don't know how Ohio State feels about him.

Bryan, what do you know about the RB/LB from Madison County High School we scouted? I believe the kid said he was being looked at as an LB at the next level. No "big" school has offered but we definitely had a scout there looking at him.

Most consider Oklahoma the team to beat for Thomas. The key for Auburn is getting him in for a visit this summer.

Sorry, I missed that. My nephew plays for MCHS so I went to the spring game. The kid looked solid.

I'll add what little I can. He wants to stay in-state if possible and would commit if offered.
