Big-time junior d-tackle emerging

Tyler Nero may not be a household name to recruiting fans but that’s about to change if you ask his coach or anyone that’s played against the junior d-tackle from Escambia County in Atmore, Ala.

  • Quite a combo of size and speed! Plus, Tyler and his father already know and like Coach Rocker.

He already looks like a grown man. I mistook him for a coach on the sidelines before the start of the Auburn-USC game Saturday. His coach thinks he still has some growing to do.

  • I like the way Coach Chiz has things shaping up on the Plains!

  • Bryan, I assume he doesn't have any offers from his top 4, but have any other schools offered him?

  • You can never have too many good DTs. I'd love to see him in an Auburn uniform in the not too distant future.

I don't think he has any legit offers yet. When Coach Heaton took over the team this spring, they didn't have any sophomore film to send out and Nero spent this summer in Arkansas with his dad and wasn't able to hit up a bunch of camps.

Coach Heaton is already sending out some of his junior video and I expect offers to start coming in shortly. Juniors can't receive written offers until next Aug. 1.

He needs to follow in the footsteps of other Great Escambia players. Like Emmitt Smith, Tyler needs to go to Florida!

Great football name, love it... Tyler Nero - he rules!

You don't hear of many DTs running in the mid 4.6 range at 275, that's a heck of a physical gift, looks like Auburn is going to get a great player... That's cool they'll need guys like him to keep Bama at bay...

    Hey nimrod

Escambia AL not Escambia FL. bye bye

Don't give up on him so easily. The way your guys get arrested, you may need the depth before too long. Congrats on leading for the Fulmer cup, its been a hard fought battle between UF and UGA.
