To all Auburn faithful- whether your an AU alum or just a fan, Auburn deserves better than this! This is not a team on the verge of anything. For all the sunshine pumpers like shaud19 and others, you can look at this like it can only get better-I'm not so sure. Auburn went out and built a new basketball facility 4 years ago with the hopes and intentions of bringing in a coach that could turn this program around and make it a winner. In 3 years of basketball, we barely have double digit wins in the SEC, other than possibly S.C. we are the worst team in the entire SEC. What is it about this coach that brings you HOPE for the future? Three years in do we have a young point guard ready to guide this team-NO, we have a 5'9" walk on that can't shoot and is a defensive mismatch. Do we have post players that control a game in the paint and can rebound the basketball-NO, we've got a guy who started out as a project (Chubb) has clearly improved but is not overly talented. We've brought in JUCO players for immediate help-no help. Our only offensive player/shooter is a senior that was here before CTB arrived. Our offense consist of 2 players standing in the lane, with 3 players passing the ball around the perimeter (3point circle) until we turn the ball over or throw up a low percentage shot. We lead the league in turnovers, we have the fewest offensive rebounds of any SEC team, we have one of the lowest shooting percentages, we're one of the poorest free throw shooting teams in the SEC. Now, tell me again why I should have HOPE for the future under CTB. I'm a passionate lifelong Auburn fan who wants Auburn to be competitive regardless of the sport. I am not a sunshine pumper-and the only light I see in this situation is when CTB opens the door to walk out of it! WDE!!!!!!
