A big, athletic offensive tackle, committed to another school, visited Auburn last Saturday.
Sounds scared of big time football!! Scared to compete!!
It isn't any diffrent at Mississipi Southern. If you don't make an effort, some kid that has will kick your butt on the practice field. And he'll be the one that plays.
OOps, save me clicked the wrong place on Teams post
If you have to ask why I love Auburn so much...never mind
I think what he said was very honest and anyone who doesn't consider that coming into a situation like this, simply didn't bring it but that doesn't mean they didn't think it. Maybe he shouldn't have said he didn't want to only play two years instead of four, like he might at Southern Miss. but that is a choice a lot of players make. I don't fault him for being honest. That's a good way to look at it. SEC isn't for everyone and he is being real with himself. That shows maturity if you ask me.

If Grimes says so, OK. But, my money is that he won't say so. It does look like because he's big enough to overwhelm most high school opposition and is a legacy @ Miss Southern he thinks he has a job. I think his outlook will be adjusted during their first scrimmage. Then, maybe he'll start working to attain goals previously assumed to be his, and be very good at it. Or he could become a zip. After four years not have even a marketable education. Like always, the way he goes will be on him. OK, bar room psycology and worth what it cost.
kick 'em in the ass, big blue.
I am sure he is talented... I think its just a young kid not thinking before he spoke, maybe he was attempting to complement Auburn... With that said, if he does wind up at Southern Miss he probably needs to worry about those comments coming back to bite him... I would imagine they are going to challenge him on his comments.
If Coach Grimes wants him, then I want him. Nothing like competition to bring out the monster!
United States Marine Corps----Protecting freedom so liberals can be Godless and ignorant since 1775.
Listen folks these are 17 year olds trying to explain themselves. I agree cut them some slack. He simply meant he really wants to play and sees a little more early opportunity at Southern Miss than possibly at AU. He didnm't say he was scared of competition he would just like to play all 4 years. I'd be willing to bet if given an opportunity to come to AU he will come and I will welcome him - WDE
