Been a little lazy on the film work lately...

  • Just watched the two kids. First off - the Walker kid is an extremely physical guy and should play early because of that in the slot. Liked that he was a physical baller on defense - seems to have a great feel for the game.

Best for last - Tony Stevens - wow. How is this kid not a 5-star? Easily the most skilled outside WR we have signed in a long time. I think I counted 4 punt returns for touchdowns on his junior film - and I only watched half of it as my phone rang and I got distracted. His team spreads the ball around a lot so he's not getting all of the touches that some of the 5-star WRs get. Didn't get the greatest look at his hands but size, speed, vision in the open field - he's got all three. Definitely needs to get stronger but Gus is so good at getting the ball in guy's hands in open space on reverses, bubbles, etc. Super psyched about these two WRs.

He's good really good balance from what I saw and excellent body control. On punt returns, he's good at continuing forward. Sometimes in the open field as a receiver he tries to get the home run and you see him going backwards. I liked his jumping ability and he has a very explosive acceleration when he first gets the ball. From what I could tell about his hands, they were excellent. I'd like to see more mundane catches and see how he does on a consistent basis.
