The Bodda Getta

My son and I left midway through the second half because little man was "so hungry" he "could eat Nick Saban". Anyway, my thoughts:
This is the deepest most talented team we have had in quite some time. It's obvious they need to spend more time playing together and need some competition who doesn't wear orange and blue but this team has Western division title written all over them.

Guard play
Varez Ward just looked like the leader of this team out there. He is a smooth ball handler and has a very nice jump shot. He knocked down 2 or 3 threes while I was watching and looked comfortable doing it. It did my heart good to see Frankie out there. He is much thicker than last season and looked his usual self out there. Those two guys will be a great combination. Denson is fearless in taking the ball to the basket and that will get him playing time. His jump shot still leaves a lot to be desired. Ced McAfee is the real deal. Kid has good lift on his jump shot and he will score in bunches. He will help a lot THIS season. Langford plays stiff as a board but looked pretty solid in the time I saw him out there. Johnson didn't play and had a cast on his right arm. Neysmith was hobbling around big time on his left foot.

Bigs
Chubb looked like a man out there. He has really put on some mass and he is much more aggressive in the paint. He has obviously spent a lot of time working on his offensive game and that will help us big time. Gabriel will be a match up problem and he has gotten a good bit bigger since last year. Forbes is still a big body that can bang around. Kouassi is long and thin. He has a long way to go to help offensively but his length will help tremendously on the defensive side. Morena didn't play.

If we can remain healthy and get a healthy Johnson back in January this team could make a run. I like em..
