The Bodda Getta

We may be 2nd to Alabama in this state, but we've shown we can be 1st in the country. It's important for AU fans to acknowledge the stature of Alabama's program. It's equally important to realize how great ours is--numbers and history don't lie. Don't EVER let someone make you feel like Auburn is a second-rate program. It's just not true. Too many good AU people internalize the rhetoric of Alabama fans, media mouthpieces, and the like.

Bama has been lucky in that they have had arguably the best coach in their generation at least 3 times in their history. It won't always be that way, but they are on top of their game at the moment. Kudos to them. That doesn't take anything away from Auburn and our successes. We are coming off a national title, and are part of the best conference in the country, with a great coaching staff and great recruiting.

It would help everyone a whole lot if we stopped using them as a measuring stick (wishful thinking). 99% of the other teams in the country would happily trade places with Auburn right now. Bama is just in that rare 1%. Focus on the 99%. JMO.
