BM/PM Were we using the 4 year scholarship

As a recruiting pitch this year? I would think and hope so. The next couple of years, it will probably be less of an advantage, as more schools catch on and start to offer them.

First I heard Auburn was using them was yesterday. But I will check and see if they were using it as a recruiting pitch.

Didnt CGC say in the press conference yesterday that all schollys were one year?

the only question i have about it is will it really make a difference with the elite kids? do they really care if they have a 1 or 4 year scholly? most of them think they are good enough regardless.

BM/PM, sorry if this question has already been answered in another thread but are the 4-year scholarships something that the athletic dept plans on doing in the future as well? Or was it just a one year thing that they did for this year's recruiting class?

There are players on Auburn's team or any other team that have not lived up to expectations and have played very little. Getting a scholarship pulled fo that reason is rare.

i agree. i guess my main question was, some people having been saying this is a big advantage against other SEC schools, and i was just wondering how it could make that big of a difference.

No way, Chizik is a good perso that genuinely cares. The 4 year deals are from his heart! It has nothing to do with a sells pitch.
