Signing #1 position players out of JUCO is a no-brainer. While we need to sign freshmen players to grow the foundation, a freshman/sophmore often ends up in trouble and off the team. There is no doubt attrition and not living up to potential really hurt Chizik. Maybe if he had filled a few holes over the past few years.... War Eagle!!

Bryan, you said that there was an immediate need at running back. Tre Mason is a proven commodity. Are Mike Blakeley and Corey Grant not as talented as we were led to believe, or is it that they were just not given an adequate opportunity to display their skills? If Blakeley and Grant are, in fact, very good, we already have three outstanding running backs.

Tre Mason is a proven commodity but you need more than one at running back. Neither Blakely or Grant played much last year so I wouldn't consider them proven just yet. I think you need at lest four running backs ready to go in Gus's system. He will use two extensively, a third fairly regularly and you have to have one or two more in case of injuries.

You are right, we don't have one... we have two.
