We don't need longshot five star guys. There are dozens of guys who can play safety that will excel on the top fifty defenses in the next few years.
We need to just evaluate, develop and retain, as Ellis said. A four star with a bad attitude is not going to be a star at all. Look down our roster...

Stars don't go hand in hand with bad attitude. Find 4 or 5 stars with good attitude, develop and enjoy their physical and mental gifts at Auburn rather than playing against them.Like you said, evaluate the whole person and take ones that want to play as a team and want to be at Auburn.

I think this "Talon" whoever it turns out to be , will be not only a leader on the D but will be one of those " heart and soul " type players. I wonder if Holsey is a possibility ? He was a bright spot in a dim secondary last year to me.

I agree about Holsey. He seemed to get better every time out. Not sure if he has the size though. What has happened to E. Florence? His future seemed so bright coming in to last year, then it seems he had attitude problems to me.

Swain is too big to play DB now. I guess Mitchell could be a candidate. Not sure how much weight he put on during his redshirt season.
