This is what was put out by NCAA...
13-1, which will allow schools to treat prospects like student-athletes for purposes of applying recruiting regulations once a National Letter of Intent or signed offer of admission or financial aid is received.
Don't know all the specifics but I think there were some recruiting rules still being applied to prospects after they signed that were too restrictive.

Thanks BM.
I know you were an opponent of the rule that would allow the 6 in home visits for prospects starting their junior year (which I agree 100% with you). Since you are much more informed about this area, I'd like to know your overall feelings for the reforms that were adopted. Thanks

Wonder how much is meant as actual reform and how much is "ahh, to hell with it. We couldn't enforce it anyway" Looks to me like there a lot of "fudge" room in some of those points like "reasonable entertainment". Wonder if Miami will try to retroactively use this new rule in defense of their probation restrictions?

The one I'm curious about is 13-8...
So now the football player can be employed at summer football camp? And paid how much? I think this opens a whole new can of worms.
Maybe I'm reading something that's not there. I guess we'll see.

I don't like the unlimited texts and calls. It's too much for these top prospects. They will get hammered.
