He was injured for a big chunk of his JR season. Not sure how long, but I know Carl Lawson mentioned it in interviews. Might not even played. Again, not sure. But I do think his rating took a hit because his body of work was smaller than a lot of the other RB's.
I didnt know he was injured jr season.. but I think the Hudl vid is senior highlights only.. but he and Rudy Fords videos make me feel good about our future at runningback position.
Why does it matter? Compare him to the upper 4 and 5 star backs and you'll see why. He has tons of talent, but he is still raw and his breakaway speed isn't up there as it is for some other backs. Seriously, go take a look at the 5 star backs for the 2014 class and you'll see the difference.
His biggest knock is his top end speed. He gets caught from behind a lot. Not a homerun guy, but he will give you doubles all Saturday long.
Many have said that an injury his Jr season had him getting overlooked a little.
The other thing is that he shared the running duties in an option type offense with a very athletic and talented QB and a backup RB that is very good in his own right. If he had been the solo runner for Milton, then he would have gotten many more touches and inflated stats. All this came from his HC btw.
I'm glad we got him. I would consider him an upgrade the day he steps foot on campus. It wouldn't shock me if he broke Dyer's record.
