MOBILE, Alabama -- Philip Lutzenkirchen has had a quiet week in Mobile. Nearly back to 100 percent, Lutzenkirchen's return from hip surgery has kept him out of practices, meaning most of the work he's done to impress NFL teams this season has come in meeting rooms and interviews, away from the practice fields at Ladd-Peebles Stadium. But his reputation as a football player still carries plenty of weight in a game that features a heavy SEC presence and plenty of coaches stopping by on recruiting trips to Mobile. Lutzenkirchen, who measured in at 6-3, 255 pounds, has plenty of the size required to play tight end in the NFL, although he will still have to answer questions about his health and how he's bounced back from the injury in the next three months. In Malzahn's offense, though, Lutzenkirchen often served as an H-back or fullback, especially in his junior season of 2011. That type of versatility is what NFL teams are...
Thanks for posting. He is my favorite AU player. Also, I thought it was nice for the Alabama players to give him the credit he deserves.
Good stuff, thanks for posting.
