Alabama jumped out to a 17-point second-half lead and held off Auburn in the final minutes to win 61-51 at Foster Auditorium in Tuscaloosa on Thursday night. It was Auburn's fourth consecutive loss. The win was Alabama's fourth over Auburn in its last 19 tries. Story to come.

Alabama's women's basketball team hit 5 of it first 25 shots and had 12 turnovers in the first 10 minutes of the game. Alabama missed its first seven shots in the second half. But thanks to a barrage of 3-point shots and Auburn's inability to hit open shots (seems to be contagious in Auburn these days), the Tide has pulled out to a 52-37 lead with 6:50 left in the game at Foster Auditorium.
