in years to come if the recruiting cycle continues as it is. Flame away if you will but I think our coaching staff may have jumped the gun a little too soon this year in the sense of trying to spread our brand nationally. I guess a NC played a huge role in thinking we could branch out many states away and pull top prospects from other schools. The staff needs to go back to the drawing board and recruit locally and then branch out. Our tradition is pretty good but there are still many schools and programs that take the cake in that department that are located all over the map. To get to that prestige we have to set up shop in our bread and butter recruiting hotspots and hit them hard and often and coach these guys up. If you look at the remaining top recruits left on the board there are some distance factors taking place. Quite frankly I dont think our brand is big enough just yet to pull these guys. In the past we have recruited the state of GA, Al, and FL. Now we are trying the waters way outside our comfort zone so to speak and its something I'm not fully understanding? I think Chizik is a great in game coach but Tubbs was a master of coaching a diamond in the rough type guy. No i'm not saying I wish we still had Tubbs but we all have to admit he was very good at doing just that. We will be fine in the long run but we have to get back to our roots or UF, UGA, LSU, and UA are going to leave us in the dust. UF will always have top athletes due to the state they live in as is for UGA as well. LSU was a sleeping giant before Satan took over and he ran with it. Now he is at UA and they are a force right now. There is nothing going to change that aspect so we have to get our elbows dirty as well and push and shove people to the side like we used to. Right now the program needs stability and I'm hearing rumors from big alumni in my area that Trooper and Luper will be departing after this season and possibly some more defensive coaches depending on CVG's defensive scheme and hiring his own people. That will be a great thing in the future but patience is a virtue and our fan base not always has that. Until then lets keep our heads up. WDE

Signing day is only two days away. You really don't need to jump to conclusions at this point. All you have to do is wait two days. Then you can post all of the dumb posts you want based on AU's actual class rather than posting dumb posts now based on your assumptions of what AU's class will be. I suspect you'll not be posting on signing day. But, I'll wait and see.
