As far as recruiting goes, how would you grade the staff that Malzahn has put together so far? I personally feel pretty optimistic about everyone that we now have on staff. Thanks BM

Rodney Garner is a great recruiter. Melvin Smith and Charlie Harbison are good. I think the staff could use one or two younger, energetic guys with the last three hires.

How would you put Auburn's chances at ending up with a top-15 class? Top 10?

Bryan:
I could see opposing coaches making the argument that AU isn't concerned about Defense, now, given the change to a HUNH type of offense.
In my mind, the committment and investment thus far on the Defensive side of the ball, screams to the contrary. What's your take on the perception that Defensive players that we're recruiting have about the direction of our program?

Have seen Corn elder play....he would be perfect for our offense......Do we have a chance...BTW, dont be fooled by his size...he is a baller!

oh MAN... just looked at his highlights... I haven't seen many highschool kids beat angled pursuit like that. That looks like someone we need in the hunh!

At one time Dee Liner said he did not want to be the next TJ Yelden. Now a lot of people are predicting that.Any idea on what changed other than the coaches.

I know this is a recruiting Q & A but I think this is relevent (in a tangential way) since we are recruiting coaches to fill positions. I have seen it asked several times but I have yet to see a responce from the PtB. Who are the potential RB/WR/TE/ST coaches being considered, other than Tim Horton. Is Matt Lubbock from Duke in consideration for WR coach or is that just people making a wish list?
FWIW -- IMO, he would be perfect, and I have heard he is on of the best (and I mean BEST) recruiters in the game and he obviously knows how to coach the position, given his players' stats. Any thoughts on this guy?

I think recruits will see the experience and success of Auburn's defensive coaches and be impressed. Recruits want to play for proven coaches.

Dee Liner's commit has always been shaky to me and Alabama has been heavily involved from the start. The coaching change certainly didn't help but he's sticking with Auburn for now.

liner needs to go back and look at bama s page when he was having his trouble . they was aweful with the things they said and didnt want him, as normal now that has changed and they want him
