Yes, I asked Lemond Johnson that because he's an early graduate and I thought it was appropriate. I don't think it's a good idea to ask the rest of Auburn's commits that right now. Lemond's response was included in the story linked below...

BM, when undergoing coaching changes, isn't it common to "hold over" an asst coach who has strong connections with the commits? If CGC goes, do you see that as a possibility to try and retain the heavy hitters we have committed? Either Troop or Luper maybe?

How hard are these coaches trying to keep the players we have. I was just told Nick Saban had lunch at Auburn High School Today, wonder who he was visiting? If things do not get better soon Nick will cherry pick this class the way he has done the last three years....

Sometimes that happens. Not sure if that's common practice or not. Auburn has some current staff employees like Phillip Lolley and Joe Whitt who are more than qualified to contact recruits during a transition period.

Lol, Nick Saban did not have lunch at Auburn HS today. Head coaches are not allowed on the road right now. The fall contact period (in-home visits) begin at the end of this month and coaches will have an opportunity to visit schools and homes and speak to recruits. All assistants can do now is go to schools and evaluate. They can't talk to recruits off campus.
