Auburn making it tough

    Auburn continues to make inroads with Bama TE commit O.J. Howard.

  • There could be some serious flip-flopping this year between Auburn and Alabama as BM mentioned earlier. Foster and Howard could easily make the jump to the good guys, just as Dee Liner could start believing the Bama Propoganda.

    All three look like good guys and great athletes. If we end up with all three Auburn fans would be happy and Bama fans could tell us why they never really wanted any of them.

  • If we land Howard, we will be absolutely loaded at the TE position for some time. Fulse, Uzomah, Hutcheson, and Parks probably has the most overall potential as any GROUP of TEs AU has ever had at any ONE time. Add Howard to that list and...wow! War Eagle!

    Please don't diss Prattville. It is a beautiful, growing city. It is considered THE place to live for AF Officers stationed at Maxwell, because of the schools and the area. The reason it is more oriented toward Alabama right now is that the long time coach at the very successful Prattville HS was a bama grad. The moniker, "snaggle tooth capitol of the world" is totally unfair. Prattville is a great little city.

    I do agree that this young man is under tremendous pressure. If he was indeed an Auburn fan growing up, it sounds like he listened to Saban a little too early and pulled the trigger before he was ready. I hope he sees the error of his ways. Either way, I wish him personally the best, though not wishing his team the best, if he stays with bama.

  • My question is how much pressure can a 17-18 year old kid take and still remain firm to his nature and true feelings? Calloway couldn't. Howard may but he will have to be extremely strong and fully trust himself if he flips. The pressure put on him will be immeasurable (go ask BC about supposed 'death threats', etc) Still, they could always kidnap him (go ask Calloway) 'til he bought into dinky's propaganda. The Bammers may try to kidnap our Dee Liner, too, 'cause they believe he should be picking them. And, nothing surpasses bammer arrogance.

    Got to agree...Prattville is a pretty nice place. While the high school football coach is a huge bammer...I'd say the city is split AU/UA about the same as Montgomery. I see plenty of Auburn stickers/flags, etc in Prattville.

    No doubt! I was joking with a bammer buddy of mine at work the other day, and asked how much it's going to bother him when Big Reuben flips......his reply: "Y'all can have him, we don't necessarily need him, so it won't affect us one bit!"

    It just never ceases to amaze me that there isn't a player on any other roster, especially ours, that they'd want! Idiots!
