100% better off. Who would have thought Auburn would have 3 straight top 10 recruiting classes when going up against Alabama...an in-state school who has won 2 of the last 3 NC's. Last year was ugly, but last year youth WAS A LEGITIMATE EXCUSE. This year, the youth is still somewhat of a factor, but I think the biggest factor is 2 new coordinators with new schemes.

We've absolutely under-performed in our first 2 games, and this yeah will be bad...but we're way better off than we were when Chizik got here, and he's laying the groundwork for a solid team for years to come.

Absolutely better. We are the closest we have been to have a full (and balanced) roster of quality players. That roster is full of freshman and sophomores, but it at least full. We're competing with an absolute beast of a recruiter in bama/saban and winning that battle. It's only a matter of time before our age/experience is putting us in position to compete on the field as well.
