I'm out of down votes for the day or I swear I'd give you one. I have many good friends who are bammer fans. They are outstanding human beings. I value their friendship. They'd be there for me any time I need them and I'd do the same for them. One is one of my favorite golf buddies. We've travelled together on golf trips and had some great times. Either one of us would give the shirt off our backs if the other needed it. My father was a WWII veteran of the Army Air Corps. His plane was shot down and he spent 16 months in the living hell of a POW camp. He was a bammer fan and one of the best human beings I ever knew. Maybe you ought to read about the life of Bert Bank. Mr. Bank was the man who put together the broadcast network for bammer. He was a surviver of the Bataan Death March and an outstanding human being. If this thread is still up tomorrow you will have at least one down vote.

i talked to close bama friends before, during, and after the game with clarity and civility. given they both have degrees and jobs, so that puts them in the normal category. the sidewalk alumni is what you are referring to i believe. there is that category of fan for every major program.

i did enjoy debating the fact that i don't believe bama will play for the national championship is oks wins against oklahoma based on the other conferences going crazy if it's an all sec game. bye bye bcs. i also pointed out what it would look like if lsu beat bama again, nationally..."didn't they do this once already."

i guess if anything we can hope that saban's quote about winning your conference comes back to haunt him.

as for bama fans... there are good ones out there, you just have to look beyond the clothing.

I have to agree with Tiger... I had a lot of bama friends until Sunday mroning when I went to work... I came in, complimented their team and the way they played and they proceeded to updyke all over themselves... If I weren't a patient man I would have gladly given up my employment by leaving a couple of them bleeding on themselves. I swear I am through with all of them. I wouldn't take a p!ss on one if they were on fire. WDE
