Chizik will resign the week of Bama game. Jacobs will be retried at end of year with Auburn buying his last two years of service to qualify him for full retirement. Gogue out in February.

Why are Auburn people so opposed to getting a young, talented AD who has no ties to Auburn? Is it a comfort zone thing?

I don't know, but that's exactly what Auburn needs IMO. Get away from the "Good Ole Auburn Boy" Network and find someone who will do what's best for the program and school, not just hire their best friends who have no business being in the position they are in... cough* Chizik cough*

It takes 10 years of service to vest in the state defined benefit pension plan. JJ has over 20 years. He doesn't need anybody to "buy" two years of service for him to qualify for anything.

Yea, so that means that they told petrino that he would be hired at Auburn but he would HAVE TO keep BVG... that is a load of crap because petrino never spends money on defensive coaches and BVG makes a good bit of money...

If Petrino is the next coach he can't stay cheap on the D. If Auburn takes the risk on him he should come cheaper and that money be spent on the D coaches.
