And I only thought I had lost all respect for Chizik...

  • Wow! Unbelievable that he had the audacity to call out Emory Blake and couldn't muster up a single statement of worthy praise for Lutz. No wonder he has lost this team. And he says its not all about him?! Hell yes it is - that is his main problem. He thinks he knows better than anyone, doesn't allow himself to question any of his decisions, doesn't respect coordinators and the job they were hired to do, thinks his job is completely secure regardless of his performance on the field, has shown no public accountability for his mistakes, and has become arrogant beyond words. At this point in my book, Chizik has gone from being a good man that is a questionable coach to a horrific coach with questionable character. My respect for him as a coach was lost after the Mississippi State game. My respect for him as a man was lost after this interview.

Agree. I thought it was odd in his book he made no mention of his assistants.

At the time when I read it, I probably had the orange and blue glasses on and ignored that point even though I noticed it as well. Hindsight is 20/20 and the view we have of Gene Chizik is crystal clear at this point.

I was the same way. I remember thinking it was odd, but let it go. I think we are seeing the true character of the man who tried to stab Tubbs in the back.

His arrogance and conceit since the 2010 season has caught up with him. He needs to go now before he runs off the two or three good coaches we have not to mention our current commits. I think he lost the players last year.

That certainly lines up with what insiders have told us. Augirl7 was pretty forthright about his resentment about Cam and Malzahn getting the credit for the NC. I think that is when his personality changed - his bitterness is what drove him to who he is today.

I noticed this at his coaching clinic after we won the MNC. He acted like he was the best thing since sliced bread and was very arrogant IMO.

  • The only way he gets any respect back is if he resigns. The time is now Gene! Calling Emory out really, what a moron.
