AUsome! This is a big fellow with some smarts and apparently some discipline. He would make a good H-Back if he can catch. Where do L Phillips fit into the big scene? He was one of those last second fill-in recruits.

Didn't see this question....is he immediately eligible to participate and play this coming 2012 season, or must he sit it out and wait a year due to the transfer?

He should receive waiver from NCAA to play immediately due to his mom's illness.

It is always a difficult time when a family member is in ill health especially your mother!!!! When you are far away from home it is even worse; being close to home is important. As he takes care of his family I would like to extend a welcome to the Auburn family now. In these difficult times I'm praying that all goes well for him.

Prayers for the family. That's great of Illinois and the NCAA to help this kid out.
Man this is huge! I know Lutzie has to breathe a little easier knowing this guy is coming. I went back and watched last year's National Championship game. I don't think we realize how much we miss Eric Smith!

Glad that he's getting closer to his mother! My mom had brain cancer and its a very painful thing to see ur mother going thru it all. Him coming home will lift her spirits tremendously and he wont hav any regrets for being so far away. He is in the auburn family now a we will all be there for support!

I do pray for his mom first and foremost!
Interesting timing as we worry about "stars". This kid was a 2 star coming out of HS and is now an All American and I would suppose be a 5 star if there were such a thing for transfers.
