As a blowout morphed into a choke for the ages at last year's Iron Bowl, Trevor Moawad approached Alabama linebacker Dont'a Hightower on the sideline. Moawad's message? You're a leader. Say something. Gather the defense. Make a speech. Call down the thunder. Do something to convince your teammates they can make a stop.
Defeat doesn't finish a man - quit does. A man is not finished when he's defeated. He's finished when he quits. - Richard Nixon

I wonder if AJ was looking Saban in the eye when he got his spanking last year? I don't know about you guys, but if I were Alabama I probably wouldn't be advertisting that their "mental fitness coach" was actually on the sideline of the 2010 Iron Bowl literally begging his players (his "9s" at that) to be a leader and "call down the thunder". They basically looked him in the eye and said they didn't know how. Sounds like the training may not be sticking after all... Not sure how Alabama's 3 losses last year really demonstrate a superior mental toughness over their opponents. Just sayin....

I totally agree as the relation between mr. mental coach and a coach who appears to blow a gasket every other call. I have yet to see CGC act like Sabear on the sideline thankfully....What I think is fishy, real fishy, is his coming from IMG Academy, which I'm pretty sure is about the largest sports agency in the business. I know at one time, not long ago, they had every big name client in the business. I doubt that is a coincidence. But nothing to see here, move along. Just average, everyday, ordinary "mental-coach". Reminds me of the episode of Andy Griffith where Barney gives Otis the ink blot test. Jeez leeuwze. Don't let BSPN know, they will devote 30 minutes to him and praise him as the "mental coach of the century."
Isn't IMG where Cam trained during the lockout? Not trying to support the article cause I don't like what it supported. Just curious if this is the same place that Cam trained. Pretty sure it is.
There was an old joke that used to go around pretty regularly: "there are two institutions in Tuscaloser and you have to be crazy to go to either one". Well, I guess Saban has started hiring "mental coaches" from the "menatl hospital" (I'm not even sure Brice is still in operation).
I've heard some hogwash in my time, I've spent twenty years in the Startegic Air Command (and believe me I heard some CRAZY talk during that time), or as they say in Dumbo "I've seen a horsefly, a house fly and a dragon fly, but I believe I done seen everything when I see an elephant fly". And, this huge crock of bull excrement beats all of that Hands Down.
I can't even imagine how Coach Jordan and others from era would describe this ,or heck let's get Coach Dye's opinion- it would probably make the ladies blush. I don't expect they would have a "glowing endorsement" for it.
Anyone else hear a cuckoo clock?
