AU fans at the game / PM, got a guess as to how many?

  • I was there (for almost 2 quarters), primarily to keep a 31 year consecutive Iron Bowl streak alive - as pathetic of a reason as that might be, I support my team and always will. I also wanted to waive goodbye to this coaching staff, even if it was from the back row of the north end zone upper-deck of Tuberville-Denny Stadium.

I couldn't tell how many AU fans were there, but I know it was far fewer than I have ever seen, so I thought PM or somebody who had a better vantage point might have a guess. On the way from Birmingham, we got all the way to the other side of the Mercedes plant before we saw another AU fan on their way to the game. I understand the lack of AU attendance, but the bamer sections (especially the south upper deck) were not even full; I thought there were enough turds to take up the slack for the AU fans didn't care to attend, but apparently not.

Chiz and Company have accomplished one last feat this season that I would have never thought possible - they proved you can actually field a team that is so bad, more bamers will show up to watch their own team scrimmage against itself at the end of spring practice, than will show up for the biggest rivalry in college football.

Enough about the turds; PM (or anybody), can you make a guess at how many AU fans were there (at the beginning of the game)?

Let's get somebody who can get us back to playing AU football!!!

    WDE!

I hope you and I both witness many, many more my friend; however, another season like this one and the streak might have to be give way in order to keep the life from being cut short.

  • AND Auburn fans obviously sold their tickets to Bammers, which i have a major problem with.
i hope they find themselves suddenly at the BOTTOM of the ticket priority list when we bring this football program back by some act of a miracle.
If they need money that badly they shouldn't buy tickets at all in the first place
like you, we didn't see an Auburn fan until we got to Tuscaloosa, and no car flags except the ones on our own vehicle
3,000 to 4,000 Auburn fans conservatively

2 years ago, the whole North Upper Deck was nothing but AU fans with a few bamers here and there, but it was easily 10 to 1 in favor of bamers yesterday.
