OK, since you brought it up, how about you tell me which year Mal's Football and Basketball programs finished the year worse than we have this year. And, you brought Mal into this--not me.

I do not blame every loss on JJ. And yes, JJ was in position to receive credit for 2010's football successes. I DO believe, however, that he, along with others in position, should be held accountable for the OVERALL DIRECTION of the program. Tell me, how is this unreasonable?

Football is king...And this list should be a list of coaches to hire if wanting to lose your job as AD. Correct?

JJ Hired a guy that was out of his depth as a head coach. But still won a Natty in 2010!
Mal hired a guy that went to a strip club and used a University credit card. Never coached a single game.
Then Hired a guy that was equally as out of his depth as was CGC.
Mal then ran off a head basketball coach that had taken his team as close as it has gotten to the final 4 maybe ever?

What this tells me is that one hire can change the entire landscape of what a perception of an AD is. Hired Saban and not one person is questioning his ability to hire and get good coaches. Anthony Grant is not doing well. Are the bama faithful calling for Mal or for grants head?

JJ is not who i want. Let me be clear. But damn. the constant nagging is doing nothing for anyone.

The reason this needs to be repeated because we are in a horrible horrible situation, and we can't just let it slide or be forgotten.

Being the first team to ever finish 14th in Basketball and 14th in Football is mind numbingly horrific and it will haunt Auburn athletics for a long time. Mal's Bama program had its mediocre phases but it was never in such a dire situation.

2010 was a total anomaly, Gene Chizik was a terrible choice made by a terrible AD. Barbie is a recruit first coach who was hired at a program that has its hands tied in recruiting. Another terrible choice. These results are all due to awful hiring by an AD who is out of his league, incompetent and at his core manipulative.

Jacobs brags on SEC Championships during his tenure, the vast majority of which were won by a swimming coach he did not hire and in fact helped lead out the door. It is a disgusting situation.

14th in football and basketball is a game changing event. It is so bad there isn't even a precedent for it. It should never ever come close to happening at Auburn and everyone with a pinky in it should be let go.

But do you honestly think any of the AU faithful that populate this board dont already know??

I agree with your sentiment, but TheRealRanRob has a point. We're all blue in the face. It is what it is. This stance doesn't make us resolved to Auburn failure or accepting of non-performance, but the simple fact of the matter is that Dr. Gogue and the BOT members (the only people with the ultimate power to rectify this situation) don't read message boards. Reheating the same topic over and over without adding any new information or solution OR without being in a position to implement said solution. It would be more effective to contact Dr. Gogue and the BOT members. Their contact information can't be that difficult to obtain. You're 100% correct- I don't have to read the thread and you are COMPLETELY entitled to your opinion, but I have to wonder if you feel better once you post the topic over and over with no changes?
