    I just graduated in 2011, and know a little more about these players.

    On a typical week, I would be downtown 5 nights of the week. I never didn't see Tryik Rollison out. I could do it, bc I scheduled my classes around my drinking. Basically all afternoon classes.

    Meanwhile, Tryik Rollison was getting drunk almost every night, with football workouts in the morning. You have to be responsible and know what you can handle.

    I did what I did, and graduated in 4 years with an Accounting degree.

    Obviously, if I were on the football team, I wouldn't have been going out every night.

    My point, is that Chizik's fault that Tryik couldn't behave himself?

    Should Chizik have to play mommy to all these players? It was Tryiks responsbility for getting kicked off the team.

    1st case of bad luck by Chizik.

    Zeke Pike, straight up, the kid thought he was thug-life. He was out getting drunk and making a full of himself. Do you realize how hard it is to get a public intox in Auburn? I had my fair share of moments down town, and never came close to gettting arrested. I'm not going to go into any more details about Zeke's behavior. Personal responsibility, once again.

    Should Chizk have held Zeke Pikes hand all night as they walked around from bar to bar?? No, thats not Gene's job.

    Zeke Pike is to blame for not being at Auburn.

    Bad luck case #2

    So to answer your question, yes, I'm serious.

    Chiz should have known about Tyrik's pattern of behavior and dealt with it early pn - like calling Momma and telling her baby T was about to be on the next Greyhound back to Tejas. Thats how a good manager would have handled it .

    Pike had issues back to high school. A good manager doesn't put a lot of eggs in that kids basket. In other words - sign another one. And did we really see an SEC QB in Moseley? Again - sign a backup plan.

    Fact of the matter is that most of these kids have red flags nowadays.

    Have people stopped recruiting Carl Lawson or Dee Liner? Absolutely not. If anything, it's heated up 100X's.

    Remember Carl got kicked out of camp and Dee suspended for his high school team.

    Character risk are something that every team in the country has to deal with.

    Would you be crying and whining right now if we were 4-1?

    The Miss State game, I'll give them that. 3 picks and 2 fumbles from the QB was too much.

    IF we had a QB that was worth a damn,

    We would have beaten Clemson (We were winning in the 4th)

    We would have beaten LSU (easily should have won this game)

    If we would have beaten ARK

    If we had a good qb, and we were 4-1, would you still be whining about Gene Chizik?

    How about I give you a "what if" scenario, and I only need one:

    What if we don't connect on a hail mary before the half ends vs ULM. 0-5 with even more of the garbage on and off the field.

    CGC is in his fourth year as a coach. He should have thought about QB depth a while ago...

    Who would have known Cam would be such a hit that he'd go pro after his JR year, Trotter would leave a year of eligibility on the table, Moseley would develop a bum shoulder, Pike would be a troublemaker (okay, we did know this, but not to the extent he was), and that Kiehl would look like a deer in the headlights after winning 3 state titles?

    Character risk are something that every team in the country has to deal with.

    What a joke. Character risks are one thing every program has to deal with but we have well more than our fair share under Chizik. Recruiting kids that are known to have character issues, and then when they don't even make it one semester..... That is not "bad luck". Wake up man.

  • Auburn Guy, I am an eternal optimist, glass half full kind of guy. However, you can not dispute these facts:

    1. 4 arrested for armed robbery
    2. 2 players dead, 1 shot
    3. Multiple arrests
    4. A defense that can't cover a 2nd string tight-end who ends up with a career day(Game 5 I might add)
    5. A secondary leading the team in tackles
    6. Supposed future NFL ends that have only 1 technique for a pass rush(helping to create the pocket for opposing QB's)
    7. Lineman who can't shed blocks to stop the run
    8. 11 players that look completely inept(can't call it an Offense)
    9. Dis-functional play calling by a staff that is oblivious to fact that the opposing team(s) have your signals picked off
    10. 1-4
    11. That 1 is by gimmick plays alone

    I could go on, but 1-3 are reasons for ALARM. I have tried to remain positive but the TRUTH is, Sh*t rolls down hill from the top.
