I was hoping for Kodi to return. The rest of the people coming from Ark. State, I'm not sure about. We need some recruiters BADLY. Can Lashlee recruit? I also worry about letting Yox go to be replaced with someone from Ark. State. What is this guy's background? Can he compete with Yox? I know Lashlee runs Malzahn's system but his lack of SEC experiencce in such a major role concerns me a lot if I'm being honest but since Gus is here I'm sure he will have a major say in the offense. I'm sure Gus realized how important recruiting is and will hopefully find some proven guys to add to this staff ASAP.

About the only thing left to do is hire position coaches and I assume that the coordinators will have a strong hand in that. Is the special teams coach sort of a oordinator himself or does he work under one of the traditional coordinators? Coach Boulware seems to have done a great job starting from the way behind position left from the Tuberville era. He was dismissed as one of the supporting coaches so I guess we'll not see him again. Coach Grimes, although the O Line didn't overwhelm anyone, is aiother that I thought should stay. But, all that brings out the reason why Malzahn has to make decision, otherwise the program stands still while agonizing over retaining some favorites of the Chizik era. It's not easy being the leader when bad cards have to be dealt to decent people in order to facilitate moving on in an orderly and timely fashion. But a leaders job is what every ambitious man wants, and how one handles the sticky wickets is how one is judged. That comes to all where the evening out process inexorably takes place. It will come to Malzahn, we hope in the far distant future. In the meantime, Gus is chaging ahead.
