A little nostalgia ...

The folks at The War Eagle Reader have dug up an old audio recording of the 1956 Beat Bama pep rally complete with a speech from Coach Jordan. I highly recommend if you have a moment to listen to the recording entirely.
It's amazing how much things have changed, but even more amazing the parts of our tradition that stay the same. I have to admit, when they got to the alma mater, I felt a strong connection with members of the Auburn Family that graced the plains two generations before I was born ...
You also have to remember that this was the first year Auburn folks had learned to sing "War Eagle" ... pretty amazing.
