  • It would be an excellent finish to our recruiting if we did manage to get these guys. I read an article on Mackensie yesterday and was really impressed. I was somewhat unsure about him, afraid of an attitude, but it sounds like he is just a very focused young man who wants the hard work to get better and be all that he can be. Would be great to have that kind of attitude at AU again!!! WDE

Auburn could land as many as three 5-stars on Signing Day.

Hey BM, I read on twitter this morning that Jovon Robinson was on campus in class today. Is there any news on whether he will be playing football this year or is he still ineligible? Thanks for all you do!

  • This sounds great, but do we expect to pull in 4 5 star defensive players? I sould see the Twins coming, but I see Adams at UA and Daniel at OleMiss.

Has AU turned up the heat on recruiting Cunningham? If they miss that boat I will be alittle upset, since he is the recruit that showed the most upside of any of the LBs they were going after. i mean how often do you see a Karlos Dansby the Second come along?

Suppose that I must offer this. Yes, missing out on Foster - maybe - is not a positive, but I fail to see why we are not considering Frost and Casanova in all the rumblings? My belief is that both are significantly better than they were allowed to be last year. Cas is bigger and just as fast as RF and did anyone ever watch his highlights? He does not just tackle, he mauls. In the one game he was given time last year he had 12 tackles. Frost is just a pure athlete and very cerebral. I think lack of coaching has been an issue and his confidence shaken also. I see that turning around quickly under good coaching. Now add to that Flowers and Tony and others from the current roster, I think the LB core will be just fine. In this new D, the emphasis is for the linemen to hold up the OL (big new recruits and returning DL and suspect Carl will occupy 1-2? at least and add our other DE's including Bower, maybe Daniels?) and have the LB use speed and reaction to plug holes. Dare say that we have beefed up our line and expect that the new recruits will bring out the best level of competition from the current group.......who have a lot of talent and size. DB's are key and if we can develop some of the outstanding freshmen from last year, who have the talent, add a couple studs this year and develop a lock down or 2, well.....that is what we need. Last but not least are the safeties.......we have good talent back but have you seen King hit? He will make any receiver think about crossing and backs will be smashed if they break through. All in all, my expectations are very high not only because of the recruits, but also because I don't think we have seen 50% of what the current roster can bring. The offense simply takes up where Gus left off previously. Humble opinion of course.......WDE

Agreed. While trumping up all the prospects, we've been selling some of the guys already on the roster short. To me, Cassanova should have started the Clemson game. True, there would be some misses, but we got that anyway. His aggression and physicality was on full display against Vanderbilt. Coaching (or lack thereof) was a definite factor. I'll expect him to be a standout for Auburn next year...

Finishing with Adams, Alexander and Daniel's will be a great finish and compensate for losing foster

Losing Foster was probably a blessing to us.

  • i agree with u my friend , we had talent last yr, they weren't coach right. I think we will like what we see on the field this yr. Last yr the players were so confused by coaches. another thing look at the pro's offense.more and more are running CGM offense. NE , SF49 "s, lots more'. look at what A&M did to the turds , Saban was about to have a heart attack
