I guess I'm more of a black and white kinda guy. If it says 85, it's for a reason, and should be enforced. Playing outside the rules or bending them (gray area) is at the recruits expense. That's just wrong and should be dealt with. And this is not a jealousy thng, If AU did it I would still not believe it to be an right. He's playing with these kids lives and futures.
I can see a recruit trying to decide between a big name school like Alabama and let's say AU. He is torn between going to the NFL (UA) vs good academics (AU) . He decides to go for the gusto and signs with UA because they say they are best suited to get him to the next level (bunckus). All his hopes and dreams are right there in that decision. Then he gets caught up in one of Satan's gray areas, and he can never be what he once might have been. Tell me that's right. Satan shouldn't be allowed that kind of power, and should held accountable by the NCAA. If he's looking at this to take advantage or work around it, it makes you wander what else he applies that logic too.

I get that it's legal. But it certainly doesn't seem right.
