5-star transferring to Auburn HS

  • This is interesting, it may not help us recruit this guy, but I'm glad our staff is rebuilding some of the bridges that got burned under TT. I agree with Bigdaddy, we need to start signing guys from the Auburn/Columbus area.

  • Hold on. I don’t like this one bit and I am not holding my breath on this one. Have current players contact RF. Let them show RF some love. Our coaches on the other hand should be available to answer his parent's questions and arrange academic visits, but they need to politly let RF know that he won't receive game tickets, lunch, or a Coke until he de-commits. Put his ball in Alabama's court, if Alabama really wants him (and we know they do) that offer will be waiting there for him. This crock/myth sold by CNS that playing for Alabama best prepares them for the pros needs to stop. CNS has not prepared anyone that was not Pro ready out of HS, but he is taking all the credit. How many 2* or 3* has he turned into a first round selection. None! Athletes like RF need to believe in themselves, work hard and stop letting Lil Nik take credit for their God given talent. They never needed Alabama as bad as Alabama need them.

    You are right!
CTT killed Auburn recruiting in West Georgia after his treatment of Deron Furr. I am still pissed and embarrassed how our DB's went code red on that kid.
I was told first hand that Auburn was going to have a diifficult time in West GA over that situation. I believed him too. He does huge business with 90% of the schools in WGA. He wines and dines all their coaches and principals and he was passing on what he was hearing too.

Maybe they are just house sitting like TR's mom, may even get a rental car

Today is a great day to love Auburn, a little better than yesterday but not as good as tomorrow.

I don't read any more into this than he and his family picked a very good school sysyem that is relatively close to where they were. In the end he may still sign with the turds and all we get to hear is how they stole another one out of our backyard. Hate to be negative but I'll believe it ( he flips )only when I see an actual LOI signed and faxed to AU, but here's to hoping it happens - WDE

One of Auburn's best recruiters plays for AHS.

  • The kid has been to Auburn a lot over the past year. I have a good feeling about this kid ending up in orange an blue. He will be playing with two of our coaches kids.

  • I hope that this isn't the ultimate diversionary tactic by the turds......

.....ok, I'm not very-good at humor. Have a great day. WAR EAGLE!

  • Lots of kids just want to go to school away from where they grew up and went to HS. Maybe his just coming to Auburn now will make if fresh and new to him, and he will want to stay. It probably won't hurt that his mother would be able to come to each game without having to travel at all. Maybe she will be able to ge him to flip.

Columbus Georgia had a street agent named Tony Adams that was selling kids to various colleges. He sold Fortson to FSU(Fortson told Tuberville on the phone, with an AU booster listening to the conversation, that he couldn't throw his mother under the bus and had to take the FSU deal) and he sold Jarvis Jones to USC. That was the primary problem with Columbus. Furr, who was a TURD from the day he stepped on campus, was a secondary issue. Carver has had, quite obviously, some serious discipline problems. Tracy Rocker did a fantastic job there in landing Gabe Wright, and Pelton has a great relationship with Del McGee, so we should continue to get serious traction there. And Tony Adams was fired, which should also help, but I don't really know. An Auburn assistant coach for Tuberville asked certain Auburn people and authorities to help with Adams(as in have him prosecuted) so it was obviously a problem for us.

I do not know anything about Auburn High's current HC's relationship with Auburn University,(although I'm guessing it's good because of the players on his team and the obvious connection) but I do know that the coach that he coached under for many years, who happens to be my cousin, also coached at Auburn High while Tuberville was there and he had a great relationship with Auburn and never had any problems with them when Tuberville was the coach.

FYI. Furr enrolled and participated in spring practice as a HS senior. I don't give a damn if you or others think he was a Turd. I doubt you even knew him either. I did not, but ANY kid that has the balls to do that needs to get the benefit of the doubt. He was moved from QB to DB and he might not have adjusted well to the move.
In any case, you do not beat down your teammates even if he is a True Freshman Turd. My biggest problem was how flippant Tubby was about the whole deal. Very Jack Nicholson like IMO. Donnie Humphrey was a loud mouth douche bag when he came to Auburn, but he turned out just fine. Ask Boomer.
I was told what I was told and I trust what my friend's brother told me. That incident hurt Auburn.

In any case, that is behind us and I am in the NOW. Sorry I brought it up.
This Adams cat sounds like a bad dude and needs a visit from the [bvg]
