What effect has Martinez had on our DB recruiting? With Florence and Therezie unhappy, with McNeal totally missing the Clemson game - those guys may not paint a beautiful picture for guys looking to come to Auburn.

I hope its just coincidence that we can't attract top-level DB's at the same pace we are getting top-level linemen lately. This defense should be a dream job for a big safety.

I just don't understand why the big-time guys aren't at least listing Auburn as a top three. There is a lot of time left for Matthews or Bell to step it up and jump on board.

Couldn't disagree more. When a team is playing like we are, it's easy for a lot of these kids to see how they could come in and make an impact. Its actually a much harder sell when you have two 4-5 star's in front of them.

Auburn is Auburn. We are in the SEC, top tier, and kids know if they come here they have an opportunity to be seen by millions. That hasn't changed. The fact we are having a tough year isn't as bad as people assume recruiting wise. If we keep talking about the coaches leaving and firing Coach Chiz..........now that's a different story. No one wants to commit to a coach that isn't going to be their next year.
