4-star WR picks Auburn

    Bryan,

Did I read somewhere that there are concerns about Robinson having the ACT score/grades to qualify?

Auburn doesn't take commitments from kids with qualifying issues, especially in February.

    Bryan,

Below comes from the article posted in al.com and is the reason behind my question about his ability to qualify. (I of course hope he does)...

"Glover said Robinson has taken the ACT one time and is not currently qualified at this time. Glover thought Robinson managed a "17 or so" on that attempt, but felt his biggest priority will be raising his grade-point average in his core classes.

"He's got work to do," Glover said. "It can be done. He's not qualified right now and I'm glad he went ahead and commited to Auburn now so they can also stay on top of him about his grades. He's got a plan, though. We expect him to take advantage of that plan."

Is this information inaccurate or is that report misconstruing the situation?

He's a junior in high school. Nobody in the 2013 class is "qualified" at this time. I don't expect Robinson to have any trouble qualifying. Prospects in much worse position when they were juniors are playing for Auburn and every other SEC school right now.

  • Aha, thanks. In light of your explanation I think that article was a little misleading.

Well that's great news - this kid seems like a stud! WDE.

  • A committment 11 months before natiional signing day means nothing in many cases. Most young people have not been taught by parents (see divorce rates of greater than 50%) or examples in their daily lives that "a man's word is his bond".
