4-star RB ‘got that feeling’

    Are there really 9 RBs better than DG? Is he expected to move up in rank? I feel like he is atleast one of the top 5 running backs in this class.

    I'm guessing that those rankings also take into consideration the level of competition in a particular state as well as pure stats, height, weight and 40 times. BM would know way more on that subiect than I do...And as far as having a multitude of backs on the roster, in the physically-demanding SEC....it's a must.

  • Bryan, seems like a lot of these kids lately have cited that Auburn is the first and only place that their Mom has visited. I'm glad that we are involving their families so much. Is it something that Coach Chizik asks the recruits to do? Not questioning it, just wondering how he goes about getting Momma to campus far more often than the others...

    Auburn has always stressed bringing recruits and their families on visits and tries to get mom, dad and all on visits along with the recruit.

    After watching just a few seconds of film on green I am surprised he is not a top ten player. I think 247 has missed on this guy. I could be wrong because im not going off much. I think he is one of the most if not the most impressive rb I have seen in awhile. I'm not sure if people understand the advantage of his size and speed. He seems to be a one cut back and those are the best kind. IMO

    Whether we land him or not ( and I hope we do ) what a great job our coaching staff is doing selling Auburn University.

    I was waiting to get a hair cut when a real updyke sat across from me. There were about six people waiting. He saw my shirt and said out loud, "I surrrrrrre do love my coach". I quietly sat there. I looked at him and he has a big SH** eating grin on his face. After a few minutes he looked at me and said, "Do you like your coach?" I said yes I do. He said "Why? he's an 8-5 coach". I said it doesn't bother me. He said "I love my coach and football team" I said, so you worship him? He said "Yes. Rooooooe Tyde. He has class unlike some other coach." I said do you like the other sports that uatea has? He said "There ain't but one sport and we dominate it"
    After a few minutes my name was called. Then I gave it my best Pat Dye impression and said...

    bama fans love football but Auburn fans love Auburn.

    He didn't respond but as I walked back I did hear a couple of War Eagles.

    My reply to you 79 is, we as Auburn fans want to win all our games but we understand Auburn's situation and will give Coach Chiz time to build. Something tells me if sabin and uatea loses three games including the Iron Bowl that updyke will be screaming for a change.(without his got 14 shirt on of course).

    Most National and local media does not give Coach Chizik very much love but as you stated, " what a great job our coaching staff is doing selling Auburn University." That to me is all that matters, We know....wareagle

  • Wow. Apparently this kid is pretty darn good. Another site has his 40 time as two tenths faster and ranks him the number one RB. I sure hope we get him.

    Yes, Auburn will bring in several potential fullback walk-ons in the next couple of years.

  • And that makes sense to me that Wilkins would have been at the top of our list. Wilkins' highlight film is significantly more impressive than Green's.

  • Loved that he said "he got the feeling". I think most of us that attended Auburn (whether athletes or not) got that same feeling and that's why we went there. Don't hear too many people from other universities talk about "the feeling". Love that about our university. You either feel it or you don't and if you do it's the place for you.
