Recruiting builds a roster and from a roster the team is built. Garner is good at all of that. Regardless of one recruit, the signs are that Malzahn is on the way to Auburn football. Pretty good start for a man that's been a headcoach for one year.
It may be unnoticed in the excitement of Coach Malzahn's moves, but our AD showed, in getting coach selection and hire completed, that the dummies are not him, but his detractors. Auburn family, think about that a little bit.

What tackles are we now recruiting with the arrival of Garner? I know Liner, Lawson, Bower, Adams and Johnson. Are we looking at any more for this year? Thanks.

He sounds like he is still pretty wide open ride right now.
He is ranked pretty highly though he can't even jog right now. If he doesn't rehab as good as he should he is a big gamble.
I like the infusion of jc guys. You need new blood to cure the apathy that had taken over epidemic style.
You can never have too many 4 start tackles...

I am very unqualified to speak on Jacobs but why not. As far as football goes, he hired Chizik and we won the only N.C. in our lifetime. I know it ended in disaster but we did win a N.C. Basketball has been a disaster but I think I see signs of hope and didn't he get us a new arena? Let's face it Auburn is not a basketball destination so average to good would be a reasonable outcome. Baseball is nothing short of a disappointment. We should be better. In summary football won a N.C. and the new hire is looking good. Basketball is looking average which will do. Baseball has sucked. I give him a grade of B-.
