Brian, in your recruit posts I have heard more than once these recruits say Coach Chizik is a "cool dude". I would love to be a fly on the wall and listen to him talk to these recruits. What a great coaching staff we have stressing family.

I believe totally that competitiion between Recruits is a good thing and tells something about what to expect on the field. What else do the coaches have to make judgments? Should one think that a player that avoids recruiting to a school that has a fair number at his position is looking at anything except early playing time, and may not be the type Auburn Coaches are looking to recruit except during years where rebuilding a roster is of prime import? Six five and 241 lbs. Good athlete. Kind of hard to say no to that guy if he's strongly in favor of the school, the coaches, the town, and the family environment. Like saying you don't want Marylin because you've got a few blonds on contract.

I agree with both you and other posters. However, these are young student athletes, they want and mistakingly expect to play in their freshman year. Some already believe they're some sort of god because every school and coach wants them. I believe competition is good but sometimes kids like to find the easiest path to get there. I believe Dee and Lawson will sign with AU next year. Especially, when they see our defense and how much recognition they will receive next year. War Eagle.
