AUBURN - Auburn's football team returned to practice Wednesday to begin preparations for the Nov. 26 Iron Bowl against Alabama at Bryant-Denny Stadium.
The No. 2 Tigers (10-0, 7-0) worked for more than two hours at Jordan-Hare Stadium, as they do most seasons after the final home game. Head coach Gene Chizik was pleased with what he saw.
The Tigers have their first open date after playing for 11 consecutive weeks. They will practice again Thursdaty, have a walkthrough Friday and take Saturday off.
"We are trying to get back in the physical mindset that we know this game is
going to be,'' Chizik said. "We'll come back and do the same thing again tomorrow."
