As Kwon Alexander heads into the homestretch of his recruitment, the 4-star linebacker from Oxford (Ala.) High is focused on three schools.
“It’s Alabama, Auburn and LSU,” Alexander said. “Alabama is a great school with a hard-nosed defense and great coaches. Auburn is a good school and a good atmosphere. It’s like family out there.
“LSU has good players, it’s a good school and a nice place.”
Alexander, 6-foot-2 and 210 pounds, has already officially visited LSU, Florida State and Auburn. He said he may visit Alabama in January but hasn’t set a date. He plans to hold off until Signing Day before announcing a decision.
“It will come down to trusting the coaches and how cool the strength and conditioning coach is. Also, a place that feels like family," he said.
Alexander spent last week in San Antonio, Texas at the U.S. Army All-American game. He wasn’t able to participate as he continues to rehab from knee surgery in October, but still considers it a productive trip.
“I watched a lot of what the coaches were teaching the guys all week. I think that will help with my technique when I get to college,” he said.
