Auburn is still Auburn - great seasons, bad seasons and everything in between. There are only a handful of schools that will have the same head coach five years from now. And probably no school in the country with all the same assistants five years from now.
If he liked Auburn yesterday, he will love it when all things are clicking like they normally do. War Eagle TB!

True enough. But,
Any family has its factions of people who are never satisfied, those who are happy no matter how dysfunctional things get, those who get drunk and say the hell with it, those who love change and those who hate change.
Auburn, like any other school, has its own characters within the fan base. I would LOVE nothing more than for Gene to right the ship and live happily ever after.
Maybe he will. Maybe he won't. Only he can control that. He is apparently a good man, and he has proven he can win it all with the right circumstances.
Conversely, he has proven that he can hit an iceberg if he doesn't properly control the ship. We are about to find out soon if he can right the ship or if the administration has to toss out the lifeboats.

My guess is he's busy being a 17-18 year old high profile high school football recruit. I bet that means most of his time is spent on football and girls. Just a hunch but I doubt he spends much time on this or any other message board.

Wow a really great quote on a day not easy to do so. Thanks for that. War Eagle. We all know this thing will turn around and Auburn will be great again. I actually think it can be turned quicker than it looks like right now. Of course a couple of key positions on defense and offense have to be resolved. I also agree with 74 grad that keeping the current recruiting class together is more important than what remains of the season. Obviously a couple of unexpected wins would help everything.
