A number of talented prospects attended last Saturday’s Auburn-Clemson game including junior linebacker Kwon Alexander from Oxford (Ala.) High School.
“It went great. I really enjoyed myself,” Alexander said. “There were a lot of people there supporting the team. I loved the atmosphere.
“It felt like home. I like Auburn. I really like it when I went down there.”
Alexander met with several Auburn coaches before the game including Gene Chizik.
“He told me he was happy I came down and he wanted me to be a part of the team,” Alexander said.
With more than a dozen offers to his credit, Alexander projects as one of nation’s most highly recruited prospects in the 2012 class. His early offers include Auburn, Alabama, LSU, Arkansas, Florida, Florida State, Kentucky, Mississippi State, Nebraska, Oregon, Texas Tech and UCLA.
“I don’t have any favorites,” he said.
Alexander plans to attend the Alabama-Florida game in Tuscaloosa Oct. 2 and return to Auburn for a game later this fall.
Oxford (3-1) hosts No. 5 Auburn High School (4-0) Friday.
“We’re not going to back down from nobody,” he said. “All we have to do is keep our head in the game and just go out there and play our ball and can win.”
