Rewind: UGA offers Holsey

GEORGIA OFFERS HOLSEY: Cornerback Joshua Holsey from Creekside in Fairburn, Ga., has seen his recruitment take off over the last couple of months adding offers from all over the country. His latest offers are from Ohio State and Georgia bringing his total to 25.

“I was just in shock; I didn’t really think Georgia was going to offer me. It feels great,” Holsey told the Atlanta Journal-Constitution about the offer from his childhood favorite.

The offer from the Bulldogs, however, wasn’t enough or UGA to crack Holsey’s top three. Holsey told the AJC that Auburn, LSU and Virginia Tech were his leaders. Holsey plans to attend Auburn’s Big Cat Weekend May 28.

ELITE LB KNOWS THREE OFFICIALS: Linebacker Kwon Alexander from Oxford (Ala.) High still has a long way to go until announcing a decision on Signing Day but the 4-star already has three official visits in mind

"I know I'm going to visit Oregon, USC and UCLA for three of my official visits," Alexander told 247Sports. "I'm not sure of the other two yet, but I'll keep working on it this summer.”

Alexander, who is up to 30 offers, plans to narrow his list this summer. He said Auburn, LSU and Clemson are the three schools recruiting him the hardest.

TOP OL LIKELY COMING TO BIG CAT: 4-star offensive tackle Patrick Miller from Dwyer in Palm Beach Gardens, Fla., told 247Sports that he plans to visit Auburn for Big Cat Weekend. Miller, who currently favors Auburn and LSU over Florida, said his plans for a decision are moving up.

“The more I go on, the more I want to go ahead and make this decision so I can help the team have a good recruiting class,” Miller said. “I think I could get a couple guys to follow me and I could help the school out. I don’t have a date set or anything, but I’m probably going to make a decision before the season starts.”
