Rewind: Top OL likes SEC West

SEC WEST BATTLE FOR TOP OL: Offensive lineman Vadal Alexander from Buford (Ga.) High lists his top three schools as LSU, Alabama and Auburn, and hopes to have a decision this fall.

Alexander is a top OL target.

“(Auburn) is a great family atmosphere,” Alexander told the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. “(Offensive line coach Jeff Grimes) is a great man, a church man, a Godly man -- I love that about him. And you know Auburn is going to win.”

TOP FIVE FOR ELITE DB: 4-star cornerback Deon Bush from Columbus in Miami, Fla., has a top five of Auburn, Alabama, Miami, Florida State and Purdue. He’s visited a number of schools over the last two weeks including Auburn and is taking a mature approach in choosing a school.

“I’m going to try to take the coaching staff and football out of the equation and see if I’d like to be at the school for four years,” Bush told 247Sports. “I want to see what opportunities each school will provide for me after football is over. I can’t go wrong with any of my current top five, so I’m just trying to find the best fit for me.”

ON THE ROAD AGAIN: 4-star offensive tackle Jordan Diamond from Simeon in Chicago, Ill., has already visited a number of schools this spring and summer including Auburn. He’s planning a trip to see some schools out West and Miami in July and have a decision sometime after his senior season. Diamond has more than 30 offers.

“I’m looking for a school with great tradition, stability in the coaching staff, somewhere I have a good comfort level, and a place I’m wanted for real,” Diamond told 247Sports. “I also want to have a good visit when I’m there so that’s what I want to see at every school. Playing as soon as possible would be nice but I understand that the best players get to play.”
