TALENTED DE HIGH ON AUBURN: 3-star defensive end David Johnson from Lithonia (Ga.) High was a standout at the NIKE camp in Buford, Ga., last weekend. Johnson, who visited Auburn Mar. 2, has three schools at the top of his list.
Johnson could play DE or LB.
“I am open to all offers and will consider all offers, but if I had to pick some favorites it would be South Carolina, Auburn and Vanderbilt, but Pitt would be right up there too,” Johnson told 247Sports.

QB TARGET EXCELS AT ELITE 11 CAMP: 3-star quarterback Ryan Buchanan from Jackson Prep in Meridian, Miss., was a standout at the Elite 11 quarterback camp in Buford, Ga., last weekend. He finished in the top group of six out of 86 quarterbacks from 19 different states. Auburn offensive coordinator Scot Loeffler is expected to visit Jackson Prep later this spring.
“It is definitely an honor to perform that well there,” Buchanan told 247Sports. “Trent Dilfer said he was much more impressed with this group than he was the Dallas group. To come out as a top performer in this group…I definitely feel good about it.”

TIGERS IN TOP FOUR FOR IN-STATE WR: Wide receiver B.J. Hammond from Gadsden (Ala.) City has offers and interest from several SEC schools including Auburn. Hammond has visited Auburn several times in the last year including the A-Day game a couple of weeks ago. He’s hoping to make a decision later this summer.
"My top schools right now are Mississippi State, Auburn, LSU and Alabama," Hammond told 247Sports. "I see a good opportunity at all of those schools and I plan to see all of them again this summer. I will camp at almost every SEC school and I am also going to be at Louisville this summer."
