Rewind: Lacey sets date

ANNOUNCEMENT SET: 4-star combo guard Trevor Lacey from Huntsville will announce a decision Wednesday, May 18 at 2 pm CT at the Butler High School library. Lacey has visited Alabama, Auburn, Kentucky and Kansas, and plans to visit N.C. State this upcoming weekend. He has not named any leaders.

STILL A PACKAGE DEAL: Defensive linemen Jonathan Taylor and James DeLoach from Jenkins County in Millen, Ga., are still planning to sign with the same school. Right now, Georgia, Auburn and Alabama appear to be in the best shape to nab the highly recruited prospects.

The pair had originally planned to hold off on a decision until after their senior season but that’s not set in stone according to DeLoach. “There might come a point in time where I decide where I want to go. If there's a spot available, I might not (wait),” DeLoach told 247Sports.

BIG-TIME OFFERS FOR JUCO DL: Defensive end Denico Autry from East Mississippi Community College is claiming offers from several big-time programs including Georgia, Texas, Alabama, Auburn, Florida, Florida State, Oklahoma and Tennessee.

“I have been in this league for 11 years and Denico is one of the best defensive lineman I have been around, and that includes guys like Pernell McPhee, Raven Gray, and Chad Green,” EMCC coach Buddy Stephens told 247Sports. "The thing that sets him apart from the others is that he is the total package of speed and power, and I think he has a lot of upside still to go.”

Oregon is the latest offer for 4-star offensive lineman Jordan Diamond from Simeon in Chicago, Ill. He plans a return visit to Auburn for Big Cat Weekend May 28 ..... Former Memphis quarterback Ryan Williams has transferred to Miami. He will redshirt this fall and be a sophomore in 2012 .....
