Recruiting Rewind: Big-time RB plans visit

BIG-TIME RB PLANNING VISIT: Running back Tre Mason from Park Vista in Lake Worth, Fla., is tentatively planning to officially visit Auburn Nov. 12 for the weekend of the Georgia game he told 247Sports.com.

“I just want to see exactly how the people are, I want see the people I’ll be surrounding myself around, the coaches,” Mason told 247Sports. “I already know coach (Curtis) Luper is a great coach and coach (Gene) Chizik. I just want to get a chance to see the players and see lots of things up there.”

Mason also plans to visit Ole Miss and West Virginia and said those two along with the Tigers are equal at the top of his list.

Mason rushed for 312 yards and 4 touchdowns last week.

MAKING THE ROUNDS: Elite 2012 quarterback Zeke Pike from Dixie Heights in Ft. Mitchell, Ky., plans to be in Auburn for the Georgia game.

The week before he will visit Clemson for the North Carolina game. This past Saturday, Pike was at Iowa to see the Hawkeyes knock Michigan State from the ranks of the unbeaten.

“It was a lot of fun, a great atmosphere and I really enjoyed it,” Pike told 247Sports.

Pike has already visited games at Louisville, Kentucky and Purdue this season.

THIS AND THAT: Point guard Andre Hollins from White Station in Memphis, Tenn., committed to Minnesota Saturday. Auburn was one of five schools Hollins officially visited ..... Defensive end Aaron Lynch from Island Coast in Cape Coral, Fla., recently decommitted from Notre Dame and lists Florida and Florida State as his two finalists ..... Defensive lineman Stephon Tuitt from Monroe (Ga.) Area told 247Sports he plans to stick with his commitment to Notre Dame, which is 4-5 on the season.
