“I believe Oregon has the speed on Auburn but I don’t think Oregon has faced a team with the size that Auburn has. I’m thinking Auburn is going to come out and run Cam and Oregon is not going to be able to stop the run at all.

“I feel like it’s going to be the same way for Auburn. They’re playing a team that’s faster. It’s going to be hard to stop the run on both sides. But I believe Auburn is going to run all over Oregon because Oregon is not physically big enough to stop the run.”

Wide receiver Sammie Coates
Leroy (Ala.) High

“I think Auburn’s offense is dominating. They’ve been killing people. I think it will be an offensive game.”

Auburn 34, Oregon 24

Linebacker Tyson Coleman
Lake Oswego (Ore.) High
Oregon commit

“I think Cliff Harris is going to shut down Darvin Adams. Oregon’s d-line will need to keep Cam from scrambling and the whole defense needs to tackle well. On offense, I think they just need to do their thing.”

Oregon 35, Auburn 21

Center Reese Dismukes
Spanish Fort (Ala.) High
Auburn commit

“I think Auburn just has to contain Oregon’s offense. I think Fairley will play the game of his life. I think Auburn’s offense is going to be real hard for Oregon to stop. They’ve got to keep the ball in their hands and have a good running game because Oregon’s so fast-paced. If Auburn keeps the ball away from them, they can’t do much about it.”

“War Eagle all the way. It’s going to be close but the SEC has another National Championship.”

Defensive tackle Johnathan Jenkins
Gulf Coast C.C. in Perkinston, Miss
Oklahoma State commit

“I believe Auburn will win because of how they have threats on both sides of the ball. Oregon has a fast-tempo offense but Nick Fairley is a fast penetrator too. If Auburn’s d-line plays like they’ve been playing this whole year, I think Auburn will be able to pull it off.

Cam Newton can pass and run the ball so Oregon will have to watch out for that. I don’t think anybody is going to be able to take them down by themselves either. He’s going to break some tackles.”

Defensive lineman JaBrian Niles
Davidson in Mobile, Ala.

“I think it’s going to be a tough game but Auburn’s going to come out with the win.”

Cornerback Jonathan Rose
Leeds (Ala.) High

“I think Auburn’s defense has stepped up a lot this year. They just need one of those breakout games and I think the National Championship is the time.”

Defensive lineman Devaunte Sigler

“The SEC is the next level to the NFL. Oregon, they’re fast, but they haven’t really got anyone to really put any hits on them. It’s just like high school or any other level, once you get a hit put on you, you’re going to be looking for somebody to hit you every time.

“Once Auburn puts some SEC hits on them, they will fold up. Oregon will fold up.”

Auburn 45, Oregon 38

Wide receiver Tacoi Sumler
Columbus in Miami, Fla.

“Oregon will put up too many points and Auburn won’t be able to stop their offense. I feel like Oregon’s defense will be well prepared for Cam Newton.”

Oregon 38, Auburn 23

Safety Anthony Swain
Gadsden City in Gadsden, Ala.

“The reason is two words: Cam Newton. That guy is just too hard to contain.”

Athlete C.J. Uzomah
North Gwinnett in Suwanee, Ga.
Auburn commit

“I think both offenses will be a little slow coming out of the gate. They have both been off for a long time and both defenses will be pumped up. Halftime adjustments will be the key and Auburn will start to slowly widen the gap.

“Oregon’s offensive line will get tired after constantly having to block one of the best defensive lines in the nation. Auburn will be victorious.”
